Self Proclamations and Pet peeves

There are many Dominants of both sexes who have found this lifestyle via the Internet. They have spent time in chat rooms learning the lingo and watching the interactions (Etiquette and Protocols) between submissives/slaves and Dominants. Or they have read a lot of books.

They have then created a Name with a title such as Master or Mistress then gone back into the same rooms to see who they can attract. All so that they can get laid. When in truth they have NEVER spent time on theirs knees in real time service to another Dominant. ONLINE service does not count. PERIOD! That goes for submissives and slaves too!

I am personally bothered by the fact that a large number of real life Dominants out there (with exception to the Professional Male Dominants {rare} and Dominatrixes) whether they are Male or Female tend to take on only the "Beautiful People" as their submissives. That is their choice but I find it to be a very sad thing as there are far fewer "Barbies in Bondage" then there are "Real People" in this lifestyle.

So, I will tell you exactly how I feel in my own quote.

"It is not by your physical appearance that I accept your gift of submission but by your soul's desire to serve. So, serve me yes, but serve me well."

My biggest Pet Peeve is the pronunciation of the word Domme.

The word is pronounced: Dom. NOT DOM-MAY!

Pronounce the French word femme. As in femme fatale. The e at the end is silent. Well, DUH! So is the e at the end of Domme. This word was created in a chat room because someone got their fingers tangled up as they excitedly tried to type out Fem-Dom.

I do not care who you are in the lifestyle. Old Guard or New Guard, National Presenter or absolute newbie. I will correct you. Why? Because you sound ignorant to those who know the difference.
